Make sure you follow all the Dell instructions carefully.Īfter completion, powered down laptop and Dell D6000 Docking Station, waited a couple of minutes, put all plugs/cables back into the Dell D6000 Docking Station, powered Dell D6000 Docking Station back on, waited a couple of minutes, and then plugged into laptop. Make sure that no other programs are running. I powered the Dell D6000 Docking Station down by unplugging it, unplugged all items from the Dell D6000 Docking Station, waited a couple of minutes, put the power adapter in the Dell D6000 Docking Station, waited a couple of minutes (just in case it needs time to boot), Plugged the USB (not USB-C) into the laptop and upgraded by right clicking on exe and selecting Run as Administrator and follow onscreen instructions. There is now a new firmware version for the Dell D6000 Docking Station (A03) and could now successfully upgrade it with that version. Is this normal, as I can’t find anywhere how long the upgrade takes?Ĭan anyone advise the time it takes to fully upgrade and any other helpful tips to help with the firmware upgrade please? It has sat at that section for over an hour and not moved, so looks like it is stuck. Then I click on the Upgrade button and the green bar moves slowly across and reaches between the “B” and “C” text above the green line (about a quarter of the way so far). So the D6000 Updater A02 window appears and can eventually click on the FW Info button to see what the current and updated firmware versions are. There is no USB/screens/mouse etc plugged into the dock and I am using the USB plug from the dock plugged into the back of the laptop using the SS USB socket and not using USB-C, as forums mentioned that USB-C shouldn’t be used for the firmware upgrade. I right click the downloaded software from the Dell website and selected Run as administrator to launch the upgrade. I also have a Dell D6000 docking station and I’m trying to upgrade the firmware to the latest version (A02) without success. I have a Dell Latitude E7450 with Wind64Bit with all the latest Windows updates installed.
